Geelong v Sydney betting tips and winner prediction for AFL round 11 2026

Welcome to our Geelong v Sydney betting tips and winner prediction for their AFL round 11 clash at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.

The Cats are 1.57 favourites to defeat the ladder-leading Swans (2.40), with the line set at 10.5 points and the total points market at 190.5.

Sydney is fresh off a hard-fought victory over Collingwood after their ruckman Brodie Grundy massacred the Magpies, when his counterpart went down with a serious knee injury.

The Swans have recalled Caiden Cleary and Tom Hanily, with Harry Cunningham and Billy Cootee going out of their line-up.

Geelong turned the tables on their grand final conquerer from last season Brisbane in Brisbane last Thursday, in a flex of their premiership credentials.

The 41-point win has seen their odds to win the flag sliced into $8, with everything working well at the mid-point of the season for Chris Scott’s team.

The Cats have named an unchagned line-up for this clash, with recruit James Worpel and Jake Kolodjashnij both left out after being “rested” for the grand final rematch.

Geelong v Sydney betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has assessed the market and found some value Geelong v Sydney tips:

Tom Stewart 25+ possessions

The Cats veteran notched up 28 touches last week, and we expect a similar output in this game, given the Swans like to play a loose man behind the ball. There is some risk with the Swans possibly putting a tag on him, but Stewart is good enough to work through it. He’s also great value at 3.20 to reach 25+ possessions. Cats mids Bailey Smith and Max Holmes as always, will be hard to leave out for possessions.

Ollie Henry 3+ goals

Henry has played two of his best games of his short career in the last fortnight, with it built off a team first ethos. The Swans will put plenty of time into Jeremy Cameron and Shannon Neale, and Henry could cash in. We just favour him because he’s paying 4.50 to kick 3+ goals, in what might be tough conditions for the (very) talls.

Isaac Heeney 25+ possessions and two goals

The Swans superstar has been doing it all this year. He’ll start in the middle and undoubtedly find himself deep at some points. If you multi this up it will be paying around the 5.00 quote with betting sites

Geelong v Sydney prediction

The Cats win over Brisbane was super-impressive, but that good work will be undone if they lose to the Swans at home. Their midfield clearly shades the Sydney club, while their forward line has been ominous and lead well by Cameron. Unless Grundy plays another absolute blinder against twin talls Rhys Stanley and Mitch Edwards we can’t see them beating the Cats at Alphabet. Our final Cats v Swans prediction? Geelong by 22 points.
