GGPoker's World Festival breaks record for biggest prize pools for an online poker series

GGPoker has declared its 2026 GG World Festival the largest online poker tournament series ever staged after generating more than $363.8 million in prize money and attracting almost 6.5 million entries across five weeks of competition.

The operator said the festival smashed its combined guarantees by more than $55 million, with players competing across thousands of tournaments worldwide and six individual winners collecting prizes worth more than $1 million.

According to figures released by GGPoker, the series produced a total prize pool of $363,836,719 from 6,480,095 entries, establishing new records for both participation and prize money, with the 2024 and 2025 series both having a guaranteed $250million.

The largest single payout reached $1,705,063, while the biggest bounty prize awarded during the series was $420,000.

Among the standout performances was one player who turned a combined investment of just $101 in buy-ins into winnings of $100,036.

Managing Director at GGPoker Sarne Lightman described the festival as a landmark moment for both the operator and the wider online poker industry.

“The GG World Festival 2026 was a defining moment for GGPoker and for online poker as a whole,” Lightman said.

“When we set out to build the largest guaranteed online poker series ever, we believed our community would rise to the occasion. What they delivered went beyond anything we imagined.”

GGPoker (GGPoker review) is accessible in many markets globally and is regarded as one of the best online poker rooms.

Global series exceeds guarantees by $52m

The bulk of the action came through the global edition of the GG World Festival, which featured $300 million in guaranteed prize money across four buy-in tiers ranging from $3 to $10,000.

GGPoker said the global series attracted 6,246,941 entries across 1,536 tournaments, generating a final prize pool of $352,925,821.

That total exceeded guarantees by more than $52 million and included six seven-figure tournament scores.

Players competed across Low, Medium, High and Super buy-in levels, allowing recreational and professional players to participate in the same festival structure.

The $1,705,063 top prize was the largest individual payout of the series, while bounty tournaments awarded rewards as high as $420,000.

Ontario players contribute $10.9m prize pool

GGPoker also reported strong results from its ring-fenced Ontario gambling market, where players generated a prize pool of $10,910,898 across 696 tournaments.

Against an advertised guarantee of $8 million, the Ontario series surpassed expectations by almost $3 million.

A total of 234,409 entries were recorded during the festival, with players competing across Low, Medium and High buy-in tiers.

GGPoker said the performance represented one of the strongest regional festival results in the history of its Ontario platform.

The completion of the GG World Festival caps a record-breaking period for the operator and provides another indication of the continued growth of regulated online poker markets globally.

GGPoker did not disclose dates for the next edition of the festival but said regular tournament action would continue on the platform following the conclusion of the series.
