Heat v Sixers betting tips, prediction & odds; BBL Match 24 Preview

Scorchers v Renegades BBL10

Welcome to our Brisbane Heat v Sydney Sixers betting tips, winner prediction and odds analysis for Game 24 of the 2020-21 Big Bash League at the Gabba, Brisbane, on Saturday, January 2.

The Sixers are riding high after some late power hitting from West Indies captain Jason Holder got them over the line against the Renegades a couple of days ago. They are sitting at the top of the table with four wins in a row, but unfortunately Holder’s three-game stint in the BBL has come to an end.

The Sixers still have plenty of in-form batsmen to call upon, while they come up against a Heat side that has finally got a win on the board but lost their latest game in heartbreaking circumstances.

Mark Steketee was run out by centimetres on the final ball against the Hurricanes, a single that would have forced a super over.

But the cavalry is arriving for the Heat. English ace Joe Denly was in the dugout to watch that defeat and is due to make his Heat season debut in this, while axed Test batsman Joe Burns could also be rushed back into the Heat side.

With captain Chris Lynn also not too far off resuming after a hamstring injury they suddenly look a far more formidable side.

Heat v Sixers betting tips

Our cricket tipsters have examined the odds and found several Heat v Sixers tips for Saturday night’s BBL clash.

Heat to win at $2.30

Heat are a little stiff not to be sitting back with three consecutive wins on the board. They come up against a hot team here but the Heat have a few new trump cards to play and are on home soil. The $2.30 is generous at their home ground..

James Vince top scorer for Sixers

The Englishman has a good recent record at the heat, passing 30 at his past three innings against them. Vince has played second fiddle to Dan Hughes and Josh Philippe but all the same has been in good form. It could be his turn to star in the clash.

Heat v Sixers prediction 2/1/2021

The Sixers are a great side and the defending champions but they have been a little fortunate in a couple of their recent wins. They only just scraped in against a Renegades side that is arguably the worst team in the BBL this season. The Heat are getting much closer to full strength too. Our final Heat v Sixers prediction? Heat to cause an upset.
