Australia v India T20 game one.

Welcome to our India vs Australia betting predictions for the third and deciding one-day international, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru on Sunday.

India are rated $1.72 favourites to win the match and the three-match series after they levelled things with an impressive win in the second ODI on Friday.

The second match at Rajkot was one for the batsmen with three of India’s big guns in Shikhar Dhawan, K.L. Rahul and Virat Kohli cashing in, while Steve Smith returned to top form for the tourists with a 98.

We expect another high-scoring affair at Bengaluru, if the past few one-day internationals there are anything to go by … and an opener from each team in particular will have happy memories of the ground.

Australia won the most recent match between the teams at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2017, with David Warner named man of the match for his dashing 124.

But if you dig even deeper and go back to the 2013 clash between the teams at the ground, Indian opener Rohit Sharma produced one of the greatest ODI innings of all time, with 209 off 158 balls with 12 fours and an amazing 16 sixes! India racked up 6-383 and Australia could manage 326 in reply.

Aus v Ind 2nd ODI betting tips

Here are the WGL’s Australia v India predictions and tips. We cover most international cricket fixtures with extensive cricket predictions articles.

Australia to win at $2.10

We think the match is a virtual toss of the coin, and given the disparity in the prices of the teams we have to go with the outsiders in Australia. They won the first match in superb style, with David Warner and Aaron Finch both hitting tons. We also feel their bowling attack has an edge on that of the Indians.

Mohammed Shami most wickets for India at $4

Shami is simply a wicket-taker. While spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has not quite been at his brilliant best as yet, Shami just has the knack of getting wickets even if he is a little expensive. He can be especially dangerous late when the ball is reversing and the batsman are letting fly.

Steve Smith man of the match at $11

Smith fell agonisingly short of his ton in the second ODI and once he finds form, he usually keeps it going. It’s tempting to stick with the openers in Warner or Finch or even India’s Sharma or Dhawan but we are having a dip here and predicting Smith will make the difference in this match with a big one.

India v Australia prediction – 3rd ODI, Jan 19, 2020

Well as a neutral fan we are delighted that the third match is live with the series locked at 1-1. We would be watching this India-Australia match even without some sort of financial interest in this game. These are two of the great sides in world cricket battling for bragging rights ahead of the some other big clashes later this year, including most likely late in the T20 World Cup in Australia. Good punting to all.
