Australia and India will go toe-to-toe, in what is promising to be a modern-day ICC World Cup classic, at The Oval on Sunday.

The Aussies will be in a buoyant mood after a frightening Mitchell Starc rescued them from a tough spot against the resurgent West Indies, while India did just enough to keep struggling South Africa at bay in their tournament opener.

India has been installed a $1.73 favourite for the clash, while the Aussies are priced at $2.10.

Despite punters having limited exposure to India so far this tournament, they liked what they saw in the win over the Proteas, with bookies slicing the odds of an India tournament victory from around the $4.50 mark into $3.75 and second favourite.
