Nevada casinos surpass $16bn in annual gaming revenue
Nevada’s casino industry has closed another record-breaking fiscal year, with statewide gaming win surpassing $16 billion for the first time after operators generated $16.05 billion in revenue during the 2025-26 financial year.
Figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board show gaming win reached $16.047 billion for the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, representing a 2.59% increase from the previous fiscal year.
June itself produced a more modest result, with Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reporting gaming win of $1.344 billion, up 0.82% compared to June 2025.
Despite the record annual performance, the state’s largest gambling market softened during the month. The Las Vegas Strip reported gaming win of $754.7 million in June, down 1.39% year-on-year, while Clark County as a whole declined 0.72%.
Northern Nevada helped offset those declines, with Washoe County posting one of the strongest performances in the state. Gaming win in the county climbed 17.64% to $107.6 million, led by Reno, where revenue jumped 20.27% to $81.6 million. Sparks also enjoyed a strong month, recording a 16.16% increase.
Elsewhere, Downtown Las Vegas continued its steady growth with gaming win rising 2.64%, while the Boulder Strip gained 1.88%. South Lake Tahoe increased 7.51%, although Laughlin and Wendover both recorded year-on-year declines.
Alongside the revenue figures, the state collected $81.65 million in percentage fees during July based on June’s taxable gaming revenue. That was 6.99% lower than the same month last year, although the figures remain subject to revision.
The latest results cap another milestone year for Nevada’s casino industry, reinforcing the state’s position as the largest regulated commercial gaming market in the United States despite mixed regional performances during June.
Nevada remains one of the few major US states where retail casinos dominate, with online sports betting permitted but online casino gambling still prohibited.
