New Zealand v Pakistan betting tips, prediction & odds; 3rd T20 International preview

Babar Azam is in doubt for the first test against New zealand.

Welcome to our New Zealand v Pakistan betting tips, prediction and odds analysis for the third T20 International at McLean Park, Napier, on Tuesday, December 22.

The Black Caps sealed the T20 International series 2-0 with their win in Hamilton on Sunday, where Tim Seifert guided the Kiwis home with an enterprising and unbeaten knock of 84.

Pakistan posted a competitive total almost entirely thanks to a wonderful, unbeaten 99 from evergreen Mohammad Hafeez, who at age 40 continues to defy Father Time in the shortest form of the game.

Now the final T20I awaits before the Test series starts on Saturday, December 26, with the tourists in serious need of a win to boost their confidence.

They have been without captain and star batsman Babar Azam for the T20s because of a broken thumb suffered in a training session and he is also unlikely to be back for the first Test starting on Saturday.

Before then though Pakistan must navigate a T20 clash against a team playing with all the confidence in the world.

New Zealand v Pakistan betting tips

Our cricket tipsters have examined the odds and found several New Zealand v Pakistan tips for Tuesday’s T20 clash.

Kane Williamson man of the match at $9

The Black Caps captain has returned to the team after paternity leave and not missed a beat. He is the best batsman playing in this contest by a fair margin and will want to head into the opening Test in great form. A class act.

Haris Rauf top wicket-taker for Pakistan

The paceman is one of those rare bowlers with the knack for claiming wickets no matter how many runs he is being hit around the park for. We will back Rauf at odds around $4 to make more of an impression on a tough Kiwis batting line-up than any of his teammates

New Zealand v Pakistan prediction 22/12/2020

It has not been a happy tour so far for the Pakistanis. Of course they lost their captain to injuries and have also had Covid-19 in the camp in the lead-up to the series. They are a high-class T20 outfit but the Black Caps are simply outstanding on their home turf and it’s hard to see anything but a 3-0 finish to the series. Our final New Zealand v Pakistan prediction? Another win for the New Zealand team.
