Playson expands African footprint with BetKing Nigeria launch
Online casino content supplier Playson has strengthened its position in Africa after launching a selection of its top-performing online slot titles with Nigerian operator BetKing.
The agreement sees Playson roll out a tailored portfolio of casino games to BetKing players in Nigeria through the EveryMatrix aggregation platform, with the supplier saying the content has been rebuilt and optimised specifically for African audiences.
Among the first titles made available are Coin Strike: Hold and Win, Energy Coins: Hold and Win and Sevens & Fruits: 20 Lines, games that have already gained traction across a number of regulated markets worldwide.
“Playson’s portfolio features a strong mix of proven-performing content and engaging gameplay, making this partnership an excellent addition to our casino offering,” KingMakers Nick Baker said.
“We are committed to delivering first-class entertainment experiences for our players, and integrating games tailored for our markets supports that ambition while strengthening the quality of content available through BetKing.”
The launch marks the latest step in Playson’s African growth strategy as the supplier continues to expand its reach across the continent through partnerships with major regional operators.
“Partnering with KingMakers is another exciting step in our expansion across Africa, a region that continues to present significant opportunities for growth and innovation,” Senior Sales Manager at Playson Conor Jenner said.
“BetKing has built a formidable reputation and loyal player base in Nigeria and beyond, making them an ideal partner for our content.
“We are particularly pleased to launch with a selection of games optimised specifically for African markets, ensuring players receive a highly engaging entertainment experience from day one.”
BetKing is operated by KingMakers, one of Africa’s largest betting and gaming groups. Founded in 2018, the company has established a significant presence across key African markets and has become one of the continent’s best-known online betting sites.
Under the deal, BetKing customers will gain access to a wider range of online casino content, while Playson secures further exposure in one of Africa’s most important regulated gaming markets.
The partnership also highlights the growing importance of localisation within African iGaming, with iGaming suppliers increasingly tailoring products to regional player preferences rather than simply deploying existing global content.
Nigeria remains one of the continent’s largest gambling markets, with operators continuing to invest in both online betting and casino offerings as competition intensifies among major brands.
For Playson, the BetKing launch follows a series of strategic agreements across Africa and further reinforces the supplier’s ambition to increase its market share in the region.
