Poland set for second gambling website as monopoly broadens
Poland’s state-owned gambling operator Totalizator Sportowy has expanded its online casino business with the launch of Spinky, a second platform operating alongside its established Total Casino brand.
The new website broadens the operator’s digital gambling offering without changing Poland’s restrictive online casino licensing framework, which continues to exclude private operators from the market.
Spinky has launched with online slots supplied by BF Games, Apollo, Wazdan and RubyPlay, giving players access to titles including Total Joker, Magnetic Coins and Four Fruits II.
The platform also features demo games, bonuses and casino tournaments.
Totalizator is positioning the new brand towards a younger adult audience, particularly millennial customers, as it seeks to expand its share of Poland’s online gambling activity.
Importantly, Spinky is not an independent competitor to Total Casino, with both platforms operated by Totalizator Sportowy under the country’s state-controlled online casino monopoly.
Poland introduced its current regulatory framework in 2017, granting Totalizator exclusive rights to operate online casino games.
Private companies can participate in other regulated gambling sectors, including sports betting, but cannot independently offer online casino services to Polish customers.
The launch therefore represents an expansion of the state’s own casino portfolio rather than a liberalisation of the market.
Totalizator has also developed Spinky using its own technology infrastructure, allowing the company greater flexibility to introduce new features and integrate additional game suppliers.
That approach could become increasingly important as the operator seeks to compete with unauthorised gambling websites targeting Polish customers.
The company has presented the expansion as part of its efforts to strengthen the regulated gambling offering and encourage customers to use authorised services.
Spinky’s arrival follows an extended development period.
Polish industry reporting indicates that the platform was originally considered for launch in December 2025, but technical preparations delayed its introduction.
Restricted testing involving selected users was subsequently reported in August 2026 before the website became publicly available in October.
For international casino suppliers, the launch creates another distribution opportunity within Poland’s regulated market, although access remains dependent on commercial agreements with the state operator.
The inclusion of Wazdan, RubyPlay, BF Games and Apollo in the initial game catalogue demonstrates how Totalizator is using external content providers to broaden its casino offering.
The launch also raises the prospect of further product differentiation between Total Casino and Spinky as the operator develops its two-brand strategy.
