Pragmatic Play has expanded its flagship Big Bass slot franchise with the launch of Big Bass Trophy Catch, introducing new mechanics aimed at boosting win potential and player engagement.

The 5×3 video slot builds on the familiar Big Bass format, offering base game wins of up to 200x alongside a free spins feature triggered by landing three to five scatter symbols. The bonus round includes between 10 and 20 free spins, with additional re-triggers available through in-game mechanics.

During the feature, fisherman wilds collect all visible money symbols, with values reaching up to 5,000x. Every fourth wild also awards extra spins and activates increasing multipliers, scaling up to 10x. The title introduces new “golden coin” modifiers, which can enhance gameplay by doubling wins, increasing money symbols or adding extra wilds.

“Big Bass Trophy Catch expands Pragmatic Play’s ever-popular Big Bass universe with three dynamic modifiers that bring a fresh energy to the bonus game, offering new ways to unlock 5,000x win potential,” Pragmatic Play’s Director of Public Relations Sharon McHugh said.

The original Big Bass Bonanza debuted in 2020 and quickly became one of Pragmatic Play’s breakout titles, helping to popularise the “Hold and Win”-style fishing mechanic across the industry.

Its success has led to an extensive series of sequels and variations, including Big Bass Splash, Big Bass Christmas Bash, Bigger Bass Bonanza and Big Bass Amazon Xtreme, among others.

The Big Bass franchise has become a core pillar of Pragmatic Play’s online slots portfolio, with each new release introducing incremental features while retaining the familiar gameplay loop that has resonated strongly with players globally.

Pragmatic Play is a major iGaming developer globally, with both online slots and live dealer games in their portfolio, with the company operating largely in regulated markets, including the UK, some US states and much of Europe.

The release follows Big Bass Raceday Repeat and continues Pragmatic Play’s strategy of extending one of its most commercially successful slot series.
