Racing promo: HollywoodBets.co.za expands Punters Challenge
Hollywoodbets has expanded its Punters’ Challenge for a special Continental Challenge weekend on October 3 and 4, giving South African racing players additional prizes across major meetings around the world.
The promotion covers seven feature race meetings across South Africa, Australia, France and the United States, including the Betway Joburg Spring Challenge at Turffontein, TAB Turnbull Stakes at Flemington, Epsom Handicap at Randwick and Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe meeting at ParisLongchamp.
MORE: Weekend racing tips
Entry to the Punters’ Challenge itself is free. Players attempt to select the winners across an eligible race card, with R5,000 in leaderboard prize money available at each featured meeting. Another R5,000 must-be-won prize is available to players who tip the most winners at each meeting.
There is also an incentive to have a bet rather than simply play the free competition. Players who wager R50 or more through the Betslip before the first race and subsequently finish in a leaderboard-paying position have their leaderboard prize doubled.
The bigger target is the jackpot for correctly selecting every winner.
For most of the special international meetings, the free-to-play jackpot is capped at R100,000, increasing to R500,000 when a player selects every winner and has placed an eligible R50+ bet before Race 1.
The South African Spring Challenge meetings at Turffontein are excluded from those special caps and retain the standard Punters’ Challenge jackpot structure. Under the regular rules, an eligible R50+ bettor who selects every winner at a South African meeting can qualify for a jackpot of R1 million, subject to the field-size and completed-race requirements.
