Ruby Play has purchased Splash Tech

RubyPlay has acquired engagement technology specialist Splash Tech in a move that is expected to bring bigger jackpots, new free-to-play experiences and more promotional features to players across its growing network of online casino partners.

The deal will see RubyPlay expand beyond developing casino games by integrating Splash Tech’s jackpot and engagement technology into its existing portfolio, allowing operators to offer larger promotional campaigns and cross-game jackpots spanning multiple titles.

Splash Tech CEO Adam Wilson was excited about the joining the Ruby Play stable, with the iGaming developer a fast-growing company that generally operates in regulated gambling markets.

“We already love our new home and cannot wait to make some magic, to the moon RubyPlay,” he posted on LinkedIn.

For players, the acquisition is expected to deliver more opportunities to compete for shared jackpots, alongside new free-to-play competitions, missions, tournaments and reward mechanics designed to keep gameplay fresh between real-money sessions.

Unlike traditional jackpot systems that are often limited to a single game or software provider, Splash Tech’s platform allows jackpot prizes to be linked across a wider range of casino content, creating larger prize pools and more frequent promotional events.

RubyPlay said existing operator partners will gain access to Splash Tech’s jackpot and free-to-play products once the transaction is completed, with further features planned specifically for RubyPlay’s in-house studios, including Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots and Firerose.

The acquisition marks a significant step in RubyPlay’s evolution as competition intensifies among online casino developers to offer more than just online slot games. With player acquisition and retention becoming increasingly important in regulated markets, suppliers are investing heavily in engagement tools that reward customers with jackpots, missions and interactive promotions beyond traditional gameplay.
