This is a rematch of last season’s grand finalists, with the Sixers of course winning that rain-affected game to deny the Stars their first title.
Melbourne Stars have started the season in great form and are the only team not to have lost so far, though their most recent clash was washed out.
There is little chance of rain on Saturday at the Gold Coast, where Metricon Stadium is utilised for the first time in BBL10. It is generally a high-scoring ground and the team batting first won all three matches at the ground last season.
In early betting the red-hot Stars, who are outright favourites to lift the title with leading international bookies, are rated at $1.73 favourites with the Sixers at $2.10.

The West Indies star is with the Sixers for the only a three-match stint but he has show in other brief appearances that as a gun for hire he is real value for money. Holder nearly always brings his A game wherever he is playing and he is a force with bat and ball. We are tipping the Sixers to cause an upset and Holder could be the man to do much of the damage.

The Stars are a high-quality outfit, but then again so are the Sixers, who may have a slightly better bowling line-up this time. We see it as an even money bet so we have to go with the outsiders.

This should be one of the best matches of the BBL season so far, with two of the favourites to lift the title clashing again on neutral ground.
