South Africa v England 2nd Twenty20: betting tips, prediction & odds

South Africa v England T20, November 29

Welcome to our South Africa v England betting tips, winner prediction and odds analysis for the second Twenty20 International at Boland Park, Paarl, on Sunday.

England got over the line in the opening T20 International at Newlands, Cape Town, on Friday thanks to an unbeaten knock from veteran Jonny Bairstow, who was man of the match. They can seal yet another T20 series win with victory in Paarl.

There was little between the teams outside of Bairstow’s knock on Friday, but that’s the beauty of this England team; they always seem to have someone capable of standing up on the day, even when the teams as a whole has not played particularly well.

For the match at Boland Park, the weather is expected to be warm and clear and it’s generally a flat pitch that offers some assistance to spinners. Left-arm wrist spinner George Linde was impressive in his first T20I game for the Proteas on Friday and it will be interesting to see if he is used early against powerful England opener Jason Roy, who Linde dismissed early in the first match.

England are likely to stick with the same team that won the opener, although speedster Mark Wood is a chance to come into this match or the third match at Cape Town on Tuesday.

For South Africa, express pace bowler Anrich Nortje, who did well in the recent IPL, could replace Beuran Hendricks, who had a match to forget on Friday.

South Africa v England betting tips

Our cricket tipsters have examined the odds and found several Proteas v England tips for Sunday’s T20 International.

Quinton de Kock top score for South Africa/South Africa to win double

We are backing up on our faith in de Kock from the opening match, simply because of the massive importance of the dashing opener for the home team. If de Kock cuts loose with a big knock, the Proteas win more often than not. He carries a heavy burden for his team but is simply one of the best and most damaging batsmen in world cricket.

Chris Jordan most wickets for England

Jordan is a real specialist in the short form of the game and just has a great knack of picking up wickets. Similar to with India’s Mohammed Shami, we have had a lot of success backing Jordan to take most wickets because even when he is conceding plenty of runs he often still manages to snare a couple.

South Africa v England prediction 29/11/2020

England were lucky to get over the line in the opener. Their bowling was plain, fielding ordinary and, Bairstow aside, so was the batting. South Africa also have their issues but this is T20 cricket and it will take only one or two great batting displays and a decent spell from the likes of Rabada or Nortje etc to put them right in the mix. There is never too much between these sides. Our final South Africa v England prediction: South Africa to win in a thriller.
