West Indies v Pakistan Test series betting tips and full preview
Welcome to our West Indies v Pakistan betting tips and winner prediction for their two match Test series being played in the West Indies from Saturday, July 25.
The Windies will be aiming to honour their legendary all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers, who passed away aged 89 recently, when they begin the series against Pakistan at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (Tarouba).
The West Indies (2.05) are favourites to win the opening match against Pakistan (2.30) with neither nation setting the world on fire in the longest form of the game.
Pakistan last played Tests in May when they were beaten 2-0 by Bangladesh, in what was an upset result, which lead to a review into long form cricket, but ultimately they opted against massive changes.
The Pakistanis, who have reinstalled gun bat Babar Azam as captain, have made some changes with experienced campaigners Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Noman Ali left at home, with the new breed of bowlers like Ubaid Shah, Ali Usman and Awais Zafar earning maiden call-ups.
West Indies defeated Sri Lanka in their last Test series 1-0 with the second match in the series a draw. Amir Jangoo and Roston Chase both starred with the willow and loom as key players in this series.
The Windies have named an experience squad to tackle the Pakistanis, with their fast bowling depth the envy of other Test playing nations currently.

West Indies v Pakistan betting tips
WGL’s cricket betting expert has assessed the Windies v Pakistan odds and present our free tips:
Justin Greaves Man of the Match
The West Indies all-rounder batted beautifully against Sri Lanka and looks to be becoming the player they always hoped he would become. He will find the going tougher against Pakistan, but given he bowls as well, will be involved a lot during the game. Greaves is paying 11.50 to win man of the match honours in the opening Test with Betway.com (Betway.com review).
Babar Azam to top-score for Pakistan
The Pakistani gun returns to the captaincy after Shan Masood’s disappointing run of results in the hot seat. Azam says he’s focussed on discipline, fitness and performance this time around, and he’s made a good start in the warmup match with a century. Azam is paying 4.60 to top score and will always give you a good sighter.
Shamar Joseph most wickets
Joseph oozes talent and we recommend him being front and centre in your wicket-taking tips in this series. While he has not always fronted up for Tests, his white ball form is outstanding, and looms as a big player in this series. he’s also decent value at 4.00 to top the wickets in either innings. If he misses in the first, jump on the second innings.
West Indies v Pakistan series prediction
Pakistan will be better with Azam back in the captain’s seat, but the Windies have got an outstanding pace attack named for this series and are deserved favourites with betting sites. We envisage the series being close and hard-fought as Pakistan attempt to get some respect back in Test cricket. We are predicting the Windies to win 1-0, but a 1-1 result would not surprise. The Windies bowlers are better than Pakistan, while the sub-continent team probably shade them for batting talent. For punters, back the Windies in the opening Test, but don’t be shocked if the Pakistan respond int he second.
