Yggdrasil expands Italian casino reach through ZonaGioco
Online slot developer Yggdrasil has expanded its presence in Italy through a new content agreement with casino operator ZonaGioco.
The partnership will make Yggdrasil’s slot portfolio available to ZonaGioco customers, including titles developed through the supplier’s YGG Masters and YGGChampions programmes.
The agreement represents another distribution opportunity for Yggdrasil in Italy’s regulated online casino market.
Rather than introducing a new gambling product, the deal expands the selection of existing games available through a participating Italian operator.
Yggdrasil has developed a portfolio spanning conventional video slots, branded game franchises and titles using proprietary mechanics, with their games including Vikings Go Berzerk, Valley of the Gods and Raptor DoubleMax.
“We are delighted to welcome ZonaGioco as a partner ahead of SiGMA World in Rome,” Yggdrasil’s Regional Manager for Italy and South Africa Giovanni Fodera said.
“Italy is a dynamic market, and seeing our games available through almost every online casino brand in the country is a milestone we are proud of. Our ambition is to continue building on that reach, bringing our top-performing titles to more players through strong local partnerships”
The company also works with independent iGaming developers through its YGG Masters programme, allowing smaller studios to distribute games using Yggdrasil’s technology and commercial network.
Italy remains an important European market for online casino suppliers, with gambling operators required to hold authorisation from the country’s customs and gambling regulator, Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM).
The agreement gives ZonaGioco access to additional online casino content as operators compete to retain players through larger game libraries and new releases.

For Italian players, the practical effect is a broader selection of slots on the ZonaGioco platform, subject to the operator’s rollout schedule and approval of individual titles.
Yggdrasil announced the agreement on October 13. Financial terms were not disclosed in the material reviewed.
