Betway reiterates its support for responsible gambling after PSL deal

Betway says it will continue to foster responsible gambling while supporting major sporting leagues like the PSL in South Africa.
South Africa is one of the prime markets for UK-founded Betway and their sponsorship of the PSL, the top-flight soccer competition, sees them heavily advertised via local media channels.
After agreeing to sponsor the PSL in July, Betway CEO Laurence Michel and the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation Executive Director Sibongile Simelane-Quntana released a joint statement this month.
“As proud title sponsors of the Betway Premiership, we continue to act on our responsibility as a leading global sports betting brand, to educate our customers and the South African public about responsible gambling,” Michel said.
“Through our partnership with the PSL, Betway remains committed to its objective of encouraging responsible gambling across all its platforms.
“We therefore reiterate our messaging of Bet Responsibly to all football fans and our customers during the month of November and beyond.”
Orlando Pirates are currently undefeated at the top of the Betway Premiership, after seven matches, while the Mamelodi Sundowns have lost just one fixture.
Betway.co.za also sponsors the SA20, which is the best T20 cricket competition in South Africa.
