Aristocrat get green light to develop Monopoly slot machines

Attention Monopoly and slot machine enthusiasts, you could soon combine these two hot-bed activities at land-based gambling venues, with a tie-up in the works. 

Aristocrat Gaming, the Australian slots machine manufacturer, and Hasbro, the parent company of the Monopoly brand announced they would be working together to bring all-new Monopoly-themed slots to the public. 

The landmark partnership means Aristocrat Gaming will begin to launch Monopoly-themed slots from early 2026, with the company yet to announce which markets they will be available in. 

“To be selected as Hasbro’s land-based slots partner – after a highly competitive process – is a proud milestone for Aristocrat Gaming,” CEO of Aristocrat Gaming Craig Toner said. 

“Our commitment to innovation and bold creativity sets us apart,and we’re excited to reimagine Monopoly slot games for today’s players around the globe.”

The first time Monopoly was used as a theme on slot machines was in 1998 when WMS Gaming launched Reel ‘Em In! With Monopoly, with this release notable for being the first wide area progressive title. 

Since then Monopoly has been a regular fixture in gambling, with several retail slots and plenty of online casino games wearing the branding. 

This includes Evolution Gaming’s Monopoly Gameshow, which is a live dealer title that is exceptionally popular. 

“It was evident through our selection process that Aristocrat Gaming was the natural fit for the next evolution of the Monopoly brand in the gaming category,” Hasbro Direction of Gaming Relationships Clair Hunter-Greason said. 

“We can’t wait for Monopoly fans to experience all new premium gaming content on casino floors.”
