Merkur Group awarded at ICE Barcelona

Germany’s Merkur Group has claimed three major industry awards at ICE Barcelona 2026, capping a successful appearance at one of the global gaming sector’s largest trade shows.

The gaming and entertainment company received two honours at the European Casino Awards, including Best Multiple Casino Operator for its Merkur Spielbanken division. Judges praised the operator’s integrated casino concept, which blends modern slot machines with table games, hospitality offerings and live entertainment across its venues.

Chairman of the Management Board of the Merkur Group Lars Felderhoff said the awards were a testament to the passion shown by their team to continually provide a cutting-edge iGaming experience.

“ICE 2026 was a resounding success for us, not only because of the overwhelming feedback from our customers,” he said.

“Receiving three awards recognises the dedication, passion, and commitment we put into our work every single day.

“These prizes motivate us to continue setting industry standards and to pursue our successful path. My special thanks go to all my colleagues, whose tireless efforts made this success possible.”

Merkur Group was also presented with the Corporate Community Engagement Award, recognising the company’s ongoing social initiatives and community programs that extend beyond its core gaming operations.

In addition to the European Casino Awards wins, Merkur Gaming secured an ICE StandOut Award for Best Onsite Marketing Activation. The award recognised the company’s interactive “Merkur World” exhibition booth, which featured large LED displays, product demonstrations and live entertainment designed to attract visitors throughout the event.

ICE Barcelona 2026 brought together thousands of gaming professionals and iGaming suppliers from around the world, with Merkur using the event to showcase new technologies and reinforce its position as a leading global gaming supplier.

Merkur Group is among the most prominent German gambling brands, with a strong footprint in Europe, with the company known for developing casino games, running venues and their outstanding technology.
