Adelaide v Fremantle betting tips

Welcome to our Adelaide v Fremantle betting tips and winner prediction for their AFL round 4 clash at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

The Crows (1.83) are a narrow favourite to defeat the Dockers (2.01) with Australian betting sites, despite having won just one game from their three outings this year.

Adelaide has lost their last three matches to the Dockers, including a pre-season fixture this year, but will take solace from the last time these teams played in Adelaide, way back in round 4, 2023, when they walked away victors.

The Crow will be boosted by the return of skipper Jordan Dawson, after he was a late withdrawal in their hard-fought loss to the Geelong, while James Borlase looms as a logical replacement for the concussed Jordon Butts.

They are also likely to put veteran midfielder Rory Laird and ruckman Toby Murray through fitness tests, with both racing the clock for this Good Friday fixture.

Fremantle has notched up two wins from three matches this year, with victories over Melbourne and Richmond, and a loss to Geelong.

The Dockers could be boosted by the return of Brandon Walker from a quad injury, but they are unlikely to risk gun midfielder Hayden Young, with his hamstring complaint, given his history of similar injuries.

Adelaide v Fremantle betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Adelaide v Fremantle betting tips:

Over/Under betting

The over/under market has been set at 176.5 points and we suspect this mark will not be met in this game, given the quality of both teams and ability to stifle ball movement. The Dockers, despite having a multi-pronged forward line, can sometimes struggle to score and we’ll bank on that in Adelaide. The under option is paying 1.90 with Neds Australia

Josh Rachele 20 possessions and 2+ goals

We got a glimpse of what Rachele is capable of in the Crows loss to the Cats, with 31 possessions and a goal, and coach Matthew Nicks will be keen for him to carry on with this, now Dawson has returned. Expect him to play a mix of mid and forward, and he knows where the goals are. This bet is offering great value at around 4.00 with bookmakers.

Josh Treacy 3+ goals

The Dockers powerhouse forward looks to have gone to another level in 2026 and with the Crows backline missing several key players, including Mark Keane and Jordan Butts, he will look to cash in. Treacy is narrow at 2.02 to kick 3+ goals, but is a good leg for your same game multis.

Adelaide v Fremantle prediction

The Crows need a win to settle their season down and find some rhythm, while the Dockers will want to beat a team of substance, given their victims this year are not expected to have deep runs. The Crows midfield looks a lot better with Dawson back in the line-up, while the emergence of Rachele in this area of the ground has given them a much more formidable look. While the Dockers have a strong midfield and key forwards that can chop you up, we’re just not convinced they are a genuine premiership contender and could get found out against the Crows. Our final Adelaide v Fremantle prediction? Crows by 11 points.
