Pennsylvania online casinos grow as wider market falls
Pennsylvania’s regulated online casino market continued to grow in August despite revenue falling across much of the state’s wider gambling industry.
Online casino games generated $245.70 million in revenue during August, according to figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
That represented an increase of 6.25% from $231.25 million in August 2025.

Online slots were responsible for most of the revenue, generating $195.19 million.
Online table games produced $48.14 million, while regulated online poker generated $2.37 million.
The growth contrasted sharply with Pennsylvania’s overall gambling market.
Combined revenue from casinos, online gambling, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals fell 2.16% year-on-year to $569.74 million.
Online casino therefore accounted for more than 43% of the state’s total regulated gambling revenue during the month.
Pennsylvania collected approximately $113.5 million in tax from online casino gaming alone.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course remained the largest iGaming licence holder, reporting $95.39 million in August online casino revenue.
Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with $67.46 million, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $39.88 million.
Pennsylvania is one of seven US states currently permitting regulated real-money online casino gambling and has developed into one of the country’s largest iGaming markets since launching in 2019.
The latest numbers underline the increasingly important role online casino is playing in the state’s gambling industry even as revenue from several traditional gambling verticals weakens.
