AFL round 4 odds and fixture

Brisbane v Richmond betting tips, prediction & odds; AFL Qualifying Final preview 2020

BEFORE the weekend an AFL clash between the Western Bulldogs and Sydney had little drawing power.

But after the Bulldogs dismantled GWS and Sydney upset the previously unbeaten North Melbourne, Thursday night’s clash at the SCG takes on new meaning.

AFL bookmakers think it will be close, with the Bulldogs priced at $1.79 and Sydney shortening into $2.04, after their spirited victory over the much-improved Kangaroos.

The hot and cold Dogs admittedly beat a GWS team that was rocked by the late withdrawal of Josh Kelly and the loss of star runner Lachie Whitfield with concussion before half-time, but their pressure and game style were among the best we have seen this year.

AFL match previews and betting tips

On Friday night, Collingwood, which completely overwhelmed St Kilda on Saturday afternoon, is a $1.65 favourite to beat GWS ($2.23) despite the Giants being their conqueror in the 2019 AFL finals series.

In Saturday’s match of the round, unbeaten Port Adelaide is a $1.70 favourite to extend West Coast’s hub misery, with the 2018 premier priced at $2.18 after another shocking loss, this time at the hands of Brisbane.

The AFL world is also waiting for an announcement about the Essendon v Carlton clash, scheduled for Saturday, which has been thrown into doubt because of a positive COVID-19 test to Essendon defender Conor McKenna, which led to the postponement of their game against Melbourne.

On Sunday, the Melbourne v Geelong game promises to be a cracker with Geelong the heavy favourites to win this one, despite being upset by Carlton on Saturday night in Geelong.

In Sunday’s early game Brisbane ($1.14) are the bookies’ pick to beat Adelaide ($6), while Hawthorn ($1.64) will clash with North Melbourne ($2.25) in the early evening clash.
