AFLW betting 2020

THE AFL Women’s league or AFLW might be in its fledgling years, but betting is already commonplace, with bookmakers all over the globe hosting odds and taking bets on the Aussie rules ladies competition.

ALl cool people watch Girls sport.

AFL W betting can be done all over Australia, with Australian online bookmakers such as Sportsbet, BetEasy and Ladbrokes having extensive betting on head-to-head matches, outright AFL winner and even league best-and-fairest and leading goal kicker awards.

We rate the following AFLW betting sites the best for the 2020 season:

AFLW dates and schedule 2021

Start date: February 7, 2020
Finish date: April 18, 2020

The AFLW season for 2020 will start on February 7 and run for eight home and away rounds, with a three-week finals series.

The AFLW has expanded into a 14-team competition for the first time in 2020, with Gold Coast, Richmond, St Kilda and West Coast the new teams.

AFLW betting 2021

Adelaide and North Melbourne are the $5 pre-season favourites to win the premiership in the AFLW competition, with Carlton ($6) and Melbourne ($7) rounding out the top four in betting.

The Crows have proven to be a force in the AFL Women’s competition, having won the inaugural competition in 2017, plus last year’s premiership. We think the Crows’ odds are too short, with Chelsea Randall and Hannah Button both set to miss the season.

Carlton have lost key playmaker Bri Davies to arch rivals Collingwood, which has us also playing “wait and see” on the Blues’ chances of winning the AFLW 2020.

Melbourne will be boosted by the return of Daisy Pearce following maternity leave, with the prolific midfielder among the best players in the AFLW. The Dees have also recruited smartly with Libby Birch crossing from the Western Bulldogs. We are told the two Irish girls the Demons have recruited have caused quite a stir and could feature early in the season.

We’re also loath to jump too hard on equal favourites North Melbourne given the loss of key defender Jess Duffin for the year. The Roos also terminated the contract of Mo Hope. Mia Kind has big raps after crossing from Launceston.

AFL Women’s 2020 betting tips & predictions

While the AFL Women’s competition can be extremely hard to pick, we are adequately educated to give you guidance ahead of the 2020 season.

AFLW Winner prediction:

We really like the Demons in 2020 and with star midfielder Daisy Pearce back in the fold we think they can finally deliver on their promise. The Dees were paying 7.00 prior to round 1 to win the AFLW.

AFLW best roughie bet tip

We really like Collingwood at 15.00 with Ladbrokes. Yep that’s right, the club that pounced on Bri Davey and has Chloe Molloy back at full health is a rank outsider to even feature in the finals. Jump on board prior to the Pies’ round 1 game against West Coast.

AFLW Rising Star prediction

Gabby Newton, the Western Bulldogs’ no.1 draft pick, appears to have the AFLW world at her feet. We’d be surprised if she did not feature prominently in the final voting for Rising Star Award. We are yet to see any betting markets for the 2020 AFLW Rising Star Award.
