Aristocrat strike deal with Massachusetts lottery

Aristocrat Interactive has launched the first-ever online lottery platform for the Massachusetts State Lottery, marking a major milestone for both the supplier and one of the world’s highest-performing lottery operators.

The rollout gives Massachusetts players access to online draw games, more than 20 eInstant titles from NeoGames Studio and a suite of exclusive digital content, including the industry’s first online Timber Wolf eInstant game based on one of Aristocrat’s most recognisable land-based slot brands.

The launch follows Aristocrat Interactive securing the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission’s inaugural iLottery contract in August 2025 after a competitive tender process. The initial agreement runs for five years and includes options for three additional three-year extensions.

Aristocrat Interactive will provide a full turnkey iLottery solution, including its NeoSphere player account management platform, NeoDraw draw games system, NeoCube business intelligence tools and NeoEngage customer experience platform. The agreement also covers managed marketing services, responsible gambling tools, compliance, customer support and third-party game aggregation through its Fusion platform.

Massachusetts State Lottery Executive Director Mark William Bracken said the launch represented a significant step in modernising the lottery while supporting its long-standing retail business.

“Today marks an important step forward in modernising our operations and launching an exciting new iLottery offering that complements our industry-renowned retail program,” Bracken said.

“We’re confident that our new iLottery program will elevate our player experience and allow us to further fulfil our mission of maximising revenue returned to the Commonwealth.”

Massachusetts is regarded as the leading per-capita retail lottery in the United States and ranks third globally, making the deployment one of the highest-profile iLottery launches in North America.

Aristocrat Interactive CEO Dylan Slaney described the rollout as a milestone for the company as it continues to expand its presence across regulated lottery markets.

“This is a milestone moment for Aristocrat Interactive, and the Massachusetts State Lottery as we deliver the first-ever online lottery offering for Massachusetts players,” Slaney said.

“Our iLottery solution, together with the broader Aristocrat Interactive ecosystem, creates unparalleled customer value inclusive of a full turnkey iLottery solution.”

The company said the project also reflects its broader investment in Massachusetts, having established its iLottery headquarters in Quincy and built a local team to support the deployment.

The launch strengthens Aristocrat Interactive’s position in the North American iLottery market, where the company says it is the largest provider by market share. It follows Michigan’s recent transition to the supplier’s full turnkey platform and builds on existing operations in New Hampshire, Alberta, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

The Massachusetts State Lottery has generated more than US$167 billion in sales since its establishment in 1972, returning more than US$35 billion in net profit to the Commonwealth while awarding over US$118 billion in prizes.
