Australia v Uruguay betting tips, odds, predictions – RWC 2019 Match 24

Wallabies v Les Bleus 3rd Rugby Test

Welcome to our free predictions and odds update for match 24 of the Rugby World Cup between Australia and Uruguay at Oita Stadium on Saturday, October 5.
Bookmakers have assessed Australia as unbeatable in this match, with the handicap line set at -53.5 points if you want to back the Wallabies.
We agree that the Wallabies will win easily but the large line is always a scary proposition.
Australia have not really had things go their way in Japan, losing winger Reece Hodge to a high-tackle suspension and then falling short against Wales after a controversial refereeing display, particularly from Kiwi TV match official Ben Skeen.
But it may serve to galvanise them here and they have also injected some fresh blood into the team in the form of boom winger Jordan Petaia.
Uruguay came back to earth against Georgia after they ambushed Fiji in their opening game and will do well to contain the damage against the wounded Australians.

Check out our team previews to get the latest form, our tips for leading try-scorer from each team and where we think they will finish in the tournament.

Australia v Uruguay tips RWC2019

Uruguay +53.5 points at $1.91

The Wallabies won the only previous meeting between the teams 65-3 at the 2015 World Cup but we think the South Americans have improved markedly since then.

Jordan Petaia to score a try

The winger should get every chance to score a try in his first game, with the Wallabies likely to score six or seven. Shop around but he should be better than $2.50 in the anytime try-scorer markets.

Australia v Uruguay prediction

We have little doubt Australia will win but the weather is likely to be a little wet and slippery, which could help Uruguay restrict the damage. It’s a must-win for the Wallabies after their loss to Wales and they will not be taking this one lightly.
