Bally Bet launches in Alberta as province’s regulated market expands
Bally’s Corporation has entered Alberta’s newly regulated online gambling market with the launch of Bally Bet Sportsbook and Bally Bet Casino, giving players another licensed option for sports betting and online casino gaming.
The operator has also introduced MONOPOLY Casino in the province, expanding its Canadian offering with a standalone casino platform based on the globally recognised board game brand under Bally’s exclusive consumer licensing agreement with Hasbro.
Bally’s Interactive Chief Commercial Officer Sina Miri said Alberta represented an important opportunity for the company as the province opens its competitive online gambling market.
“Alberta has a long-standing appreciation for casino gaming, and Bally’s brings decades of experience delivering that experience to players,” Miri said.
“We’re excited to introduce Albertans to Bally Bet, combining the casino games they know and enjoy with a comprehensive sportsbook in one connected platform.
“With the addition of MONOPOLY Casino, we’re also expanding our portfolio with one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment brands. Our focus is delivering a high-quality entertainment experience while promoting responsible play.”
The Bally Bet platform combines an online betting website with a full casino offering, including slots, table games and live dealer titles, while using a single wallet that allows customers to move between betting products and earn rewards through one account.
MONOPOLY Casino will also be available via desktop and mobile, featuring a range of officially licensed slots and table games inspired by the iconic board game.
Bally’s said responsible gambling remains central to the launch, with players able to access deposit limits, session reminders and reality checks. The operator also participates in Alberta’s centralised self-exclusion program and holds Responsible Gambling Council RG Check accreditation.
The launch comes as gambling sites continue to enter Alberta following the opening of the province’s competitive regulated online gambling market. Bally’s becomes one of the latest major brands to establish a presence as the market expands beyond the previous government-run monopoly.
Alberta officially opened its competitive online gambling market on August 5, 2026, becoming just the second Canadian province after Ontario to allow multiple private operators to offer regulated online sports betting and casino gaming.
The market is overseen by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), with licensed operators competing alongside the province’s existing Play Alberta platform.
