Price is Right is beginning to look like an online slot

BetMGM deepened the crossover between television entertainment and real-money gambling after expanding its partnership with Fremantle around iconic game show brands including The Price Is Right and Family Feud.

And this week, the relationship received a major boost, with contestant Vanesa from Virginia winning more than $240,000 playing “The Lion’s Share” on The Price Is Right, marking the largest payout ever won in a single pricing game in the history of the CBS show.

“The Lion’s Share” is the first custom-branded game ever introduced on The Price Is Right and was created through the BetMGM-Fremantle partnership.

The agreement gives BetMGM rights to develop online slots, table games and other gambling products tied to the long-running TV franchises, while also creating direct promotional links between the shows and BetMGM-branded casino content.

“It’s always an exciting moment when we introduce a new game, and ‘The Lion’s Share’ is already delivering in a big way,” Fremantle’s Executive Vice President of Partnership Solutions Erica Gadecki said.

“Partnering with BetMGM, a brand known for innovation in games and entertainment, has brought fresh energy to our timeless format, while still honouring the iconic gameplay fans love, now with a record-breaking win.”

BetMGM said the collaboration is designed to blend television entertainment with interactive gambling-style experiences as the operator continues expanding its online casino footprint across North America.

But critics of these types of deal point to the cross promotion of real money gambling products, readily available in many states across the USA, with more expected to regulate the industry this year.

Family Feud slot

The Family Feud slot game brings one of television’s most recognisable game shows into the online casino world, blending traditional slot gameplay with quiz-style bonus features inspired by the long-running series. Developed through partnerships involving Fremantle, the game incorporates catchphrases, sound effects and visual themes familiar to fans of the TV franchise.

The Family Feud slot’s Bonus rounds are designed around the survey-answer concept that made the show famous, while colourful presentation and simple gameplay mechanics target casual casino players.

The Price Is Right slot

The Price Is Right slot game adapts the iconic television format into a real-money casino product built around bonus wheels, prize reveals and classic showcase-style gameplay.
