Canadian online casino operator Betty has reported record net revenue of CA$111 million for the third quarter of 2026, driven by continued growth in Ontario and its expansion into Alberta.

Combined revenue increased approximately 23% from the previous quarter, with Alberta contributing almost CA$10 million following its regulated market launch on July 13.

Ontario generated approximately CA$101 million, with Betty claiming its share of the province’s online casino market has exceeded 20%.

Betty said more than 214,000 customers placed real money bets during September, while its Alberta operation attracted 42,831 new depositors during the quarter.

“Our teams continue to meticulously focus on retention as a driver for future revenue,” Betty’s Canada Q3 report said.

“Moving to the stage where we are offering different journeys and experiences for different cohorts and player behaviours is an evolution of Betty’s already effective retention strategy.

“In addition to this, we are beginning to measure success against a new measure of retention, month-on-month cash bet retention for all active players. As our operation matures, our focus ever grows on further developing our loyal player base.

“The August player base retained into September at a rate of 78.3 per cent, this is a slight dip from our base line of 79 per cent – 80 per cent, however, September’s cohort has already shown signs of strong recovery and reaching a yearly high.”

The company also reported that its Alberta monthly active player base reached 31,600 in September, generating CA$4.7 million in net revenue.

Betty attributed its early success to customer retention initiatives, promotional campaigns and the introduction of additional gaming products.

The operator said Alberta could become its principal growth market over the next 14 months.

The quarter also marked the launch of Betty Originals, the company’s internally developed gaming content division, with its first slot, Vault Wreckers, attracting 50,841 active players during its opening seven days in Ontario.

Meanwhile, Betty Bingo recorded a 78% quarterly increase in net gaming revenue to CA$911,000.

The results highlight the growing importance of Alberta, which became Canada’s second province to introduce a regulated online gambling market earlier this year.
