French Open tips

Welcome to our free French Open women’s betting preview for the 2026 edition of Roland Garros, where the outright market looks far more open than the men’s draw despite four-time champion Iga Swiatek narrowly holding favouritism at 3.50 ahead of world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka at 3.60.

For years, Swiatek has treated the Paris clay like her own private kingdom, winning four French Open titles and compiling a staggering 26 victories from her last 27 matches at Roland Garros. Yet for the first time in several seasons, genuine doubts surround the Pole entering the tournament.

Swiatek has not won a clay-court title since demolishing Jasmine Paolini in the 2024 French Open final, and her 2026 dirt campaign has looked unusually vulnerable. She arrives in Paris with a 6-3 clay record this season and fresh off a Rome semi-final defeat to Elina Svitolina, with patches of erratic shot-making creeping into her game at the worst possible time.

That uncertainty has opened the door for Sabalenka, who continues to loom as the most consistent force on the WTA Tour despite falling to Coco Gauff in last year’s French Open final. The Belarusian’s power game has translated increasingly well to slower surfaces, although she enters Paris defending 1300 ranking points.

Elena Rybakina sits at 8.00 and may represent the most dangerous value in the draw. The Kazakh star has looked sharp throughout the clay season despite a quarter-final loss to Svitolina in Rome, and remarkably, she can leave Paris as world No.1 if she captures her maiden Roland Garros title.

Coco Gauff (8.50) remains a proven clay performer, while teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva (10.00) continues her rapid rise after already establishing herself as a Grand Slam semi-finalist before turning 20.

Further down the board, Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk (23.00) and Karolina Muchova (26.00) all arrive with dangerous clay credentials, while Amanda Anisimova and Jessica Pegula sit at 34.00 outsiders in what shapes as one of the deepest women’s French Open fields in years.

French Open Ladies betting tips

WGL’s tennis betting expert has assessed the markets and form and found some French Open tips for the Ladies singles:

Elina Svitolina each-way bet

Svitolina tuned up for the French Open with a win in the Italian Open, which included wins over contenders Rybakina, Swiatek and last year’s champion Coco Gauff. Svitolina is also paying 15.00 to win the French Open, which we think is way too long in such an open draw. Back her each-way, which essentially means you are backing her to win and giving yourself some insurance on reaching the final at half odds.

Is Swiatek beatable at Roland Garros 2026?

We saw last year when world no.2 Aryna Sabalenka crushed her 7-6, 4-6, 6-0 that the queen of Roland Garros was fallible, and her form was better heading into last year’s event. We just don’t think her 3.50 odds are justified given her patchy form on clay. But anyone who can rattle off 26 wins in a row at the French Open should be respected and ultimately a win for Swiatek would not surprise. But we are going to look for better odds and chance her this time around.

Aryna Sabalenka to win

Sabalenka is super consistent at the grand slams and we would be shocked if she doesn’t push deep into this event. She will feel she has unfinished business at Roland Garros after losing to Gauff in the final last year. She’s in good form, has refined her big game for the clay and looms as our best bet to win the Ladies crown at the French Open. She is paying around 3.70 with international betting sites.
