The Greater Western Sydney Giants host Hawthorn in a high-stakes match in AFL round five on Sunday.
Alastair Clarkson’s Hawthorn have bounced back superbly from a humiliation at Geelong to upstage Richmond and then hold off North Melbourne, while the Giants finally registered a win by rolling a fading Collingwood.

The Giants have been hard hit by injury heading into this clash, losing midfielder Callan Ward, Sam Taylor and dasher Zac Williams to injury. Daniel Lloyd, Lachlan Keeffe and Tommy Sheridan come into the team.
For the Hawks, Luke Breust misses a rare game injured while debutant Harry Jones and Paul Puopolo come into the team. Young Oliver Hanrahan was omitted.

Jeremy Finlayson really seems to have come of age this season and looms as a serious threat especially with so many Giants forward options for other teams to curtail.
GWS Giants v Hawthorn Hawks prediction
Even with a tough injury run the Giants are putting out a strong line-up on their home turf and there is a hard edge to their play that was too much for the Magpies last weekend. The Hawks only scrambled over the line against the Kangaroos but they do sit inside the eight and they have the best coach in the league in Clarkson. But this time we think the Giants will benefit from being at home a couple of weeks in a row and will get over the line by about 15 points.
