Lottomatica reports record numbers as Cirsa merger nears
Italian gambling group Lottomatica has reported increased revenue and record online market share during the first nine months of 2026 as it prepares for its proposed merger with Spanish operator Cirsa.
The company reported revenue of approximately €1.72 billion for January–September, representing year-on-year growth of 5%.
Gross gaming revenue reached €3.52 billion, up 2%, while adjusted EBITDA increased 8% to €665 million.
Total wagers climbed 8% to €35.2 billion.
Lottomatica said its Italian online market share reached a record 32.4% in September, while its average share during the third quarter was 31.7%.
The company also reported gains across its online sports betting and casino businesses.
The results come as Lottomatica works towards completing its proposed combination with Cirsa, announced in September.
The transaction would bring together two major European gambling businesses with substantial operations across regulated markets.
Lottomatica’s latest figures also arrive as Italy considers changes to gambling taxation under its proposed 2027 budget.
The legislation would increase levies on certain land-based gaming machines while extending existing gambling concessions until 2029.
