AFL round 6 odds and fixture update

AFL round 12 odds 2021 - covid fixture update

In the maelstrom of AFL season 2020, things take a turn in round 6 with all matches conducted in NSW and Queensland, thanks to the COVID-19 outbreaks in Melbourne.

The round kicks off on Thursday, July 9, with a massive clash between Geelong and second placed Brisbane.

That match has claims to be the match of the round alongside the clash on Sunday between Port Adelaide and GWS Giants at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Collingwood will attempt to stop their rapid slide with an intriguing match-up against Hawthorn on Friday night. The Hawks have always been a tough nut for the Pies to crack, and without De Goey, injured defender Jeremy Howe and suspended ace Steele Sidebottom, they must dig deep or quickly slide into mid-table mediocrity.

AFL 2020 premiership betting update

The AFL Premiership market for 2020 has been turned on its head again in this incredibly turbulent season.

Just a couple of weeks back Richmond and Collingwood were riding high at the top of betting but now the GWS Giants and Brisbane Lions have taken over at the top.

The Lions and Giants have struck top form but also contributing to the reshuffle are Collingwood’s struggles with injury, COVID-19 breaches and indecent assault charges from 2015 against star forward Jordan De Goey. Throw in the Tigers’ injury woes and form struggle and its open at the top, with West Coast bouncing back into contention a little at the weekend with a big win against the Sydney Swans.

The Western Bulldogs continue to firm into calculations with another impressive win, this time against North Melbourne, while at the bottom end the Adelaide Crows looked doomed to a season of misery at $501 after a shattering loss to Fremantle.
