AFL round 12 odds 2021 - covid fixture update

Essendon and North Melbourne have joined the mass migration to Queensland and clash at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast on Saturday night.

The Bombers are sitting in fifth spot on the ladder after upsetting Collingwood last week, while the Kangaroos have lost their past three matches to slip to 13th.

There is plenty on the line, especially for the Kangaroos as another loss here would leave their finals hopes hanging by a thread.

Essendon v North Melbourne tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds and found several value Bombers v Kangaroos  tips for Saturday night’s game.

Kangaroos to win/match total under 120.5

The loss of Stringer to an ankle injury is going to make it tough for Essendon who have not been the most free-scoring of teams. They have done well this season so far and have played a match less than all bar one other team, but their lofty ladder position may be a little misleading. This match is a 50-50 contest so we have to go with the underdogs.

Tarryn Thomas 2 goals or more

The North Melbourne youngster has threatened a breakout match up forward and this could be his chance to step up as a match-winner. He is an aerial threat as well being quick and agile at ground level. The market had not been released at the time of writing but check out PlayUp and some of our other recommended bookies.

Essendon Bombers v Nth Melb Kangaroos prediction

The Bombers have won their past four matches against the Kangaroos by an average of almost 27 points but their most recent clash was the closest, winning by just five points. We expect this will be another close one, with the Kangaroos bouncing back from a few disappointments to win by 10 points.
