Gold Coast v St Kilda betting tips, predictions & odds update; AFL rd 10 preview

Gold Coast will enter their clash against St Kilda as an outsider in the betting but the expansion club will have plenty to play for, with their finals prospects diminishing after a strong start to the 2020 AFL season. Our free Gold Coast v St Kilda betting tips & winner prediction include some great value for their round 10 clash being played at Metricon Stadium.

The Gold Cost have slipped to 10th on the ladder following successive losses to the Western Bulldogs and GWS, which were both matches they acquitted themselves well in but ultimately the opposition was more battle hardened. The Suns now face the fourth-placed Saints and risk slipping over a game outside the top eight.

The Saints have reeled off three wins in a row and have won five of their last six games to stake their claim for a finals spot. New coach Brett Ratten will be keen for his team to push their case for a top four position against a weaker opponent, with heavyweights like West Coast, GWS and Collingwood yet to find top form.

AFL bookmakers have priced St Kilda at around the $1.60 quote, while the Suns odds are set at a juicy $2.60. The $1.90 line for this clash has been set at 11.5.

Gold Coast vs St Kilda tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds for some value and found several value Suns v Saints tips for Sunday’s game.

Tim Membrey to kick 3+ goals

Former Swans forward Tim Membrey has become an important part of the Saints forward line, and he is the type of player that has troubled the Suns this season. Membrey has kicked 12.4 from nine games which is not a huge output, but there is no logical matchup in the Suns backline and we think he might play a little closer to goal in this game, which is expected to be played in dry conditions. Membrey is paying $4.50 to kick 3+ goals at Unibet Australia which we think is good value.

Match Winner and Total Points 122.5

This is a special doubles market at Unibet.com.au that allows you to bet on the winner and total match points, with four different options. We are tipping St Kilda to win and the total match points to be over 122.5 which is paying $2.70. It’s going to be a dry day on the Gold Coast and there will be a King at each end of the ground, so we’re hoping there will be plenty of goals scored in this one.

Gold Coast v St Kilda prediction 6/8/2020

These two teams are probably the most improved in 2020, with both in contention to play finals, which is something that both clubs would be happy about. St Kilda is the bookies favourite and we think they have priced the game about right, especially considering they have had an extra night’s rest and the Suns are coming off a bruising game against the Giants. We think the Saints will cover the line here, which offers some great value for your multi bets. Our final Gold Coast v St Kilda prediction? Saints by 22 points.
