Welcome to our Hawthorn v Adelaide betting tips, prediction and odds update ahead of their AFL round 15 clash at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

Both of these teams are out of finals contention and have been given the early slot, with the Eagles and Bombers doing battle in Brisbane straight after.

Hawthorn have won the past three encounters between the two clubs, with their last match coming in round one last year, with the Hawks winning by 32 points.

The 15th-placed Hawks have lost their last four games, with the last of them coming on Thursday night, when they lost by 16 points to Essendon.

The winless Crows are coming off the bye with their last game a 28-point loss to Geelong on August 23, which means they will have had nine days rest, and five more days off than Hawthorn.

Hawthorn v Adelaide tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds and found several value Hawks v Crows tips for Tuesday’s game.

Either team by 15 points or less

We think it is a reasonably safe bet option that is available on this clash, with the Crows having had so much more rest than their opponent. We have seen in recent weeks the impact fresh legs can have, and while we’re not convinced there will be an upset this could be a strong leg for your multis.

Hawthorn to win and over 124.5 points match total

This option is paying $2.63 with Unibet and looks to be good value given the weather is meant to be clear in Adelaide on match day. These teams are out of finals contention and won’t play negatively in the run home, as they build to the future, which should see the match points line eclipsed. And we just can’t see proud Hawthorn dropping this game.

Hawthorn v Adelaide prediction 1/9/2020

There is some serious temptation to tip an upset here, with the Crows coming off an extended break. But then you remember how bad they have been this year and scold yourself for contemplating it. History suggest it’s likely the Crows will win one of their remaining games, with the last team to go winless in a VFL/AFL season being Fitzroy in 1964. But 2020 is one of those years and we’ll stick with the Hawks here. Our final Hawthorn v Adelaide prediction? Hawks by nine points.
