AFL round 12 odds 2021 - covid fixture update

Welcome to our Hawks-Kangaroos betting preview for the match to be played at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, June 28.

This is a tricky match to line up given the patchy nature of their form in the opening three rounds of the season.

Hawthorn trounced defending premiers Richmond at their most recent outing, a week after being embarrassed by Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

North Melbourne, meanwhile, crashed against the Sydney Swans last week, following a big win against premiership contenders GWS in Sydney.

Regardless both these teams sit inside the top eight with two wins and a loss from three games and we expect a close match once again.

The two  clashes between the teams last season resulted in a 16-point win for Hawthorn at the MCG and then a 22-point win for North Melbourne in the return game at Marvel Stadium.

North Melbourne coach Rhyce Shaw has swung the axe after the loss to the Swans, with Aiden Bonar, Jamie Macmillan, Mason Wood and Paul Ahern all dropped. Back comes gun midfielder Ben Cunnington, small defender Marley Williams and a couple of first gamers in small forward Jack Mahony and ruckman Tristan Xerri.
Hawthorn have stuck with the team which was too good for Richmond.

Hawks v Kangaroos tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds for some value and found several value Hawks v Kangaroos tips for Sunday’s game.

Tri Bet: Either Team Under 15.5 points

This bet is available at $2.50 for either time to win the game by less than 16 points and it’s a no-brainer for us as we expect this match to go down to the wire. They have a history of closely contested matches, though having the match at Marvel could well suit North Melbourne.

Jack Ziebell most goals at $15

A bit of a throw at the stumps here at big odds but the tough midfielder/forward is more than capable of kicking a bag. He should spend more time up forward with Cunnington back in the middle. Very strong overhead.

Hawthorn Hawks v North Melbourne Kangaroos prediction 28/6/2020

The master coach Alastair Clarkson and his players turned around a humiliating defeat against Geelong to upset Richmond. We are not sure whether that says more about the Hawks or how Richmond are tracking at the moment. Clarkson definitely has his team headed in the right direction again. But we also think the Kangaroos are putting together a bunch of talented players and play well at this ground. North Melbourne 12 points in a free-flowing contest.
