NRL round 11: Raiders v Storm betting tips

Read on for our Gold Coast Titans v Canberra Raiders match preview, prediction and odds update for their NRL clash at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney, on Saturday, April 3.

This is the second match of a double-header at the ground on NRL Super Saturday, with the earlier match featuring Cronulla v North Queensland from 5.15pm.

Canberra have won the past four matches they have played against the Titans by an average of just over 19 points, but the 2021 Titans are a much improved side from recent years.

The Titans are the home team but were forced to move this game away from Cbus Super Stadium to Sydney because of the latest Covid-19 outbreak in Queensland.

They are coming off a resounding win against the struggling Cowboys, while the Raiders sit alongside the Titans with a 2-1 record after their heartbreaking loss to the New Zealand Warriors, when they were hit hard by injury.

Titans v Raiders team news for round 4

The Raiders have lost centre Curtis Scott (ribs) and prop Joseph Tapine (ankle) to injury and also have concussion doubts over centre Sebastian Kris and former Gold Coast favourite Ryan James.

Forwards Dunamis Lui and Hudson Young are back for the Raiders, but it is worth checking on game day if Kris is out as his absence will mean a major reshuffle of the Canberra back line.

Golad Coast have named the same 17 which flogged the Cowboys, though centre Brian Kelly has recovered from a broken hand and could be a late inclusion.

Titans v Raiders free betting tips

Below our NRL betting expert has highlighted his free Gold Coast-Canberra betting tips for Saturday night’s game.

Gold Coast to win/match total over 43.5 points

The Raiders are battered and bruised and while the Titans’ record against them is poor of late, they will not get many better chances to put one over Ricky Stuart’s men. The Titans have gone hard with their recruiting and have been talked up as a finals contender. This is a chance to prove that they are right in the mix.

George Williams anytime try-scorer at $3.85

The Raiders’ feisty British halfback loves a try and he has some seriously good footwork. He is by no means a lock to score and try but we reckon he is a better chance than half a dozen of the players listed at shorter prices than him in this market. Go, George, go.

Gold Coast Titans v Canberra Raiders prediction 3-4-2021

This should be a fairly free-flowing affair as both these teams have averaged around 25 points a game and their defence has not been first-class. These teams are sitting fourth and sixth on the table but they have had fairly gentle starts to the season as far as opposition. This should be a fascinating insight into how the season might unfold for these teams which we think will be scrapping it out for positions around 6th-10th. The Titans have added some real power so they might just have enough tricks to cause an upset. Our Titans v Raiders prediction: Titans by 6 points.
