It’s not bad fare to kick off round 18, with the Tigers needing a win to keep their remote finals hopes alive after they fought back for an eipc 34-32 win against Manly last round. The Tigers need to win their three remaining games and hope eighth-placed Cronulla slip up.

Souths have won three of the past four meetings between these teams, but the past two have been tense and tight affairs. In their most recent meeting, the Bunnies won 18-10 in round nine this year.

Wayne Bennett’s Bunnies had their winning streak halted with a 22-16 loss to Melbourne Storm last Friday night in a result which effectively ended their top-four hopes. But they still loom as a dangerous floated in the bottom half of the top eight come finals time.

The Rabbitohs regain Queensland Origin star Dane Gagai (hamstring) from injury in place of Jaxson Paulo. That will help add experience to a back line trying to adjust to life without superstar fullback Latrell Mitchell. Liam Knight replaces Tevita Tatola as starting prop.
