AFL round 12 odds 2021 - covid fixture update

Welcome to our Fremantle v Hawthorn betting tips, prediction and odds update for their AFL Round 11 clash at Optus Stadium in Perth on Monday night.

The Dockers and Hawks have been two of the more unpredictable teams in the AFL this season.

Fremantle are languishing in 15th place on the AFL ladder with only three wins, but two of those have come against high-flying St Kilda and Collingwood. Meanwhile, the Hawks have wins against Brisbane and Richmond on their 2020 resumed but have crashed to the likes of Sydney and been crushed by Geelong, Melbourne and Collingwood,

Both teams scored big wins last time out (the Dockers against Collingwood, the Hawks against Carlton) before having byes in round 10.

They should both be well rested for this match in the WA hub, with the weather forecast to be wet and windy in Perth

Fremantle Dockers v Hawthorn Hawks tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds and found several value Dockers v Hawks tips for Monday’s game.

Tri-bet: Either Team Under 15.5 points

This option is paying around $2 with PlayUp and it’s the punting equivalent of sitting on the fence. While we think the Hawks deserve to be slight favourites, if the weather turns out as wet and wild as forecast we can see this being a low-scoring slog, along the lines of the Dockers’ recent matc against Geelong.

Most goals: Jack Gunston

Fremantle look light on for forward threats and Hawthorn have had their own issues kicking a winning score but Hawks star Gunston has worked into form slowly this season and he is a classy finisher. He should be around the $4 mark to be leading goalkicker, or bet on him in the 3-goals-plus option with PlayUp.

Fremantle v Hawthorn prediction 10/8/2020

Hawthorn have won 12 of their past 13 matches against the Dockers, with the latter’s only win in that spell coming at Subiaco in 2014. But the Hawks are certainly not the force they have been in seasons past. The Dockers have regain Nat Fyfe but are still without dashing midfielder/forward Michael Walters, which really hurts their young and inexperienced side. Our Fremantle v Hawthorn prediction? Hawks by eight points.
