NRL Sunday: Raiders v Sea Eagles, predictions & odds, round 6, 2020

NRL round 11: Raiders v Storm betting tips

Canberra host Manly at Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday in the NRL’s best match of the day and both these teams have shown they are worthy of serious finals consideration.

Indeed the Raiders are among the favourites to snare the title after they came so close last year in the decider against the Roosters.

However their recent record against the Sea Eagles is poor, with the Manly side winning five of the past six clashes between the teams.

The matches are generally close though, with Manly prevailing by just four points in both their meetings in 2019: 24-20 at Manly and 18-14 in Canberra.

The Raiders have four of their matches so far this season, while Manly are probably a little unlucky to only be three from five; they came oh so close to beating the table-topping Parramatta a few weeks back.

Canberra have regained energetic forward Corey Horsburgh for this match, as well as fellow forward Hudson Young from suspension.

Manly may well lose some of the punch in their defence with heavy hitters Martin Taupau (dislocated thumb) and Moses Suli (finger) ruled out of this match.

The other NRL match being played on Sunday is the Cronulla Sharks v the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs at Bankwest Stadium from 6.30pm.

Raiders v Sea Eagles free betting tips

Below our NRL betting expert has highlighted his free tips for the Canberra Raiders v Manly Sea Eagles clash.

Raiders -4.5 points/match total under 36.5 points double

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has flagged this week that the Raiders are focusing on their defence, and given these are a couple of heavyweight teams we expect tries to be at a premium. We fancy Canberra to cover the line because Manly have just accumulated enough injuries to test their depth, and some cracks started to appear in their narrow win over the struggling Broncos last week.

Tom Trbojevic to score a try for Manly

Tommy Turbo is always a threat in attack and even though the Raiders defence will be tough to crack he is the sort of player who keeps turning up in the right places.

Raiders v Sea Eagles prediction

Another NRL match to savour in a brilliant weekend of matches for the world’s No.1 rugby league competition. Canberra coach Stuart has a poor record overall in matches coached against Manly’s Des Hasler. We think Stuart might get one back here, with the Raiders winning by around 10 points. Good punting.
