Port Adelaide v St Kilda betting tips, prediction and odds ; AFL Rd 6 Preview
Welcome to our Port Adelaide v St Kilda betting tips, prediction and odds analysis ahead of their AFL round 6 clash at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday night.
The Power ($1.21) is raging favourite to win against St Kilda ($4.45), with the Saints coming off an 86-point hammering at the hands of Richmond to seemingly put their season into freefall.
Port Adelaide was impressive last round in dismissing Carlton by 28 points and sit fourth on the ladder with a 4-1 record. The Power have also shortened into $5.50 to win the AFL premiership.
St Kilda will attempt to turn the clash into a contested ball battle, with their strength around the clearances a way they can stay in touch with the Power.
The Power have suffered several more injury blows in recent weeks, with Xavier Duursma (knee) and Zak Butters (ankle) both facing extended stints on the sidelines. Hamish Hartlett (thigh) and Dan Houston (shoulder) are both expected to be fit after spending time off the field against the Blues.
St Kilda is set to recall big man Rowen Marshall from a plantar fascia injury and Zak Jones, who had a week off as a precaution for his problematic hamstrings. They are also hopeful Jimmy Webster will return from a groin injury.

Port Adelaide v St Kilda tips
Here are our best Port Adelaide v St Kilda betting tips from our expert AFL analyst:
Port Adelaide to win 1-24
The Power are in premiership mode, but are missing several of their biggest stars, which is why we think they will win by between 1-24 points. This margin market available at most Aussie bookmakers and offers you some nice value at $3.50. We just can’t see the Saints putting in another horror showing.
Max King to kick 3+ goals
King has threatened in recent weeks to kick a bag of goals, but he is flaky set shot at best. We think the feeling the Saints have got nothing to lose might rub off on the young gun and the shackles could come off. He is paying $2.50 to kick 3+ goals. Port Adelaide forward Charlie Dixon is paying $2.25 in the same market, but we’re not keen, with the power forward struggling to hold his marks.
Port Adelaide v St Kilda prediction 25/4/2021
Port Adelaide is the deserved bookies’ elect in this contest, but we have a sneaking feeling the Saints will lift, given how poorly they played against Richmond. While we are too educated to back them outright, we l there is some nice value in taking them to win by a certain margin. If you’re brave enough we like the 1-24 margin, but most AFL betting sites will also have 1-39 at around the $2 quote. Our final Port Adelaide v St Kilda prediction? Power by 18 points.
