NRL Saturday: Rabbitohs v Knights, predictions & odds, round 10, 2020

South Sydney and Newcastle clash in what we think is the pick of the three NRL matches on Super Saturday.

The Bunnies and Knights meet in the middle game of the day, with St George Illawarra playing Canterbury-Bankstown from 3pm, and Manly playing Parramatta from 7.35pm.

Souths have a dominant recent record against the Knights, having won nine of their past 10 meetings.

The Knights are sitting in fifth place, just one point ahead of the Rabbitohs, so there is plenty at stake in this game.

Souths will have to take the field without the suspended star Latrell Mitchell, banned for two matches for a high shot on West Tigers’ Josh Reynolds.

Alex Johnston moves to fullback in place of Mitchell, with Dane Gagai moving to centre. Jaxson Paulo makes his debut for the Bunnies on the wing.

For the Knights, Jacob Saifiti comes in at prop to replace his twin brother Daniel, who has succumbed to a knee injury. Connor Watson (ankle), Mitch Barnett (neck) and Sione Mata’utia (head knock) are all back on the bench after injury.

Rabbitohs v Knights free betting tips

Below our NRL betting expert has highlighted his free tips for the Rabbitohs v Knights clash.

Knights +1.5 points/match total over 36.5

The Knight have fared better against the big guns this season so we are happy to be on them against a Souths side, which has beat up on the lightweights but been found wanting against the better sides. The Bunnies are on the up but the Knights can get back on the winner’s list here.

Either team wins by 6 or Less (inc draw)

These teams appear evenly matched and we expect this one to go down to the wire. This option is paying around $2.75 with leading bookie Unibet.

Rabbitohs v Knights prediction

Little separates these teams stats-wise this season. Across their nine games this season, the Rabbitohs have scored one more point than the Knights and conceded 12 points more in defence. We expect that to be reflected again in a close contest this time. The absence of Latrell Mitchell, who has slowly grown into his role at fullback, may tip the match in the Knights’ favour. Our selection? Newcastle to win by four points and buck the trend of losses against the Rabbits.
