These are clearly the two form teams in the competition as we head into the fourth round since the 2020 NRL season restarted.

Parramatta have made their best start to a season since 1986, the year in which they won their most recent title. The Eels have conceded fewer points (40) than any team through the first five rounds and scored the equal second-most points (123).

The Roosters though have been in devastating form since the competition resumed, and are second for least points conceded (47) and No.1 for attack, having scored 151 points at 30.2 per game!

The double requires the Roosters to win by 7 points or more and the total match points to be 36 or more. The Roosters have really been a devastating attacking team in recent weeks. They will offer the sternest test of the stingy Eels defence so far.

We were very keen to back the Roosters when we looked at the match early in the week. What’s not to like as they have crushed South Sydney 28-12, Brisbane 59-0 and the Bulldogs 42-6 in their three matches since the resumption. They also have a great recent record against Parramatta, winning the past two meetings 32-18 and 44-10. But they have come up incredibly short in the betting against the unbeaten Eels so we are treading warily. We think the Roosters will win but this 2020 Eels team has some real steel about it. Roosters by eight points.
