South Africa v Canada betting tips, odds, predictions – RWC 2019 Match 29

South Africa Rugby World Cup news and predictions

Welcome to our free predictions and odds update for match 29 of the Rugby World Cup between South Africa and Canada at Kobe Misaki Stadium on Tuesday, October 8.
South Africa are extremely short-priced favourites to win this game even though they have retained only two starters from their previous match against Italy. While it is largely their B team though, those named have plenty of motivation as they push for starting spots in a likely quarter-final.
“A four-day turnaround between Tests is a challenge but we had planned for it and will be well prepared,” SA coach Rassie Erasmus said.
In two previous meetings between these teams, South Africa have scored two comfortable wins without really putting the Canadians to the sword.
We don’t think Canada are any chance of winning this game; rather they will see their final Pool B match against Namibia as their best chance of leaving Japan with a win under their belt.

South Africa v Canada tips RWC2019

Canada +50.5 points at $1.91

The Springboks won’t want any slip-ups but they may have one eye on the finals, so could be a little conservative in this clash. Teams have had trouble covering the big lines throughout this tournament. We don’t think the Canadians are the worst defensive team by any means.

Damian Willemse to score a try

Willemse has been named as fullback and will be buzzing after joining the squad as an injury replacement for centre Jesse Kriel. Willemse to score a try at any time should be around the $2.50 mark.

South Africa v Canada prediction

Leading ZA betting sites are offering countless markets on all Springboks games so they are worth checking out for South Africa-based punters. We think the Springboks will put 50-odd points on the board to win easily but suspect Canada might put enough points on the board to win with the handicap start. It’s worth checking out just to see what sort of shape the Boks are in as they head into a likely quarter-final clash against Japan, Ireland or Scotland.
