Welcome to our Gold Coast v North Melbourne betting tips, prediction and odds update ahead of their AFL Rd 14 clash at Metricon Stadium on Sunday night.
The bookies named the home team as the elect, pricing the Suns at $1.55 and the Roos at $2.45. The $1.90 line had been set at 8.5 by Unibet. By game day the Roos have been backed into $2.35 and the line shortened into 7.5.
The Suns and Kangaroos are out of finals contention in 2020, but both teams are young and can gain a lot by winning games in the tail-end of the season.
Gold Coast has impressed with their hight draft picks beginning to turn into great players at AFL Level and they have added some mongrel to their undoubted talent.
Not many expected the Roos to fall so rapidly this season, but dreaded injuries to key players and a rapid decline in others output (Ben Brown, Jared Polec and Jasper Pittard to name a few) have many believing they need a full rebuild.

AFL Sunday: Carlton v Collingwood betting tips
Gold Coast last played on Friday night when they were beaten by 33 points, but the Blues domination is probably understated by the scoreline, with it ending in seven scoring shots to 25.
The Roos played three days later and were five goal losers to Collingwood, but showed plenty of fight, particularly in the opening quarter.
North Melbourne has made two changes for the clash, recalling experienced pair Majak Daw and Aaron Hall for the injured Jack Mahony and Tristan Xerri.
The Suns have recalled talented forward Alex Sexton and Darcy MacPherson with veteran defender Jarrod Harbrow (injured) and Sean Lemmens (omitted) going out of the line-up.

While North Melbourne is being beaten in other parts of the ground at the moment, they would be happy with the development of their forward line in the absence of Ben Brown. Nick Larkey, Cameron Zurhaar and now Bailey Scott are beginning to show they have a bright future. Scott, who also spends time through the midfield, is paying $1.70 to kick a goal. He could have easily finished with 2+ against the Magpies and offers some nice value.
North Melbourne to lead at half time and lose the match
The Roos have shown plenty of grit, including leading the Magpies at quarter time in their last outing. Their forward-line has shown it can kick goals, but the midfield missing Ben Cunnington and Jack Ziebell has struggled to keep ticking for a full game. In the end, the Suns will kick away in this game, but it might be worth a shot in the dark that the Roos will lead at half-time, but fall away as their young team and three days less rest takes its toll. This option is paying a juicy $6.50 at Unibet.
Gold Coast to win by 24 points or less
Gold Coast has too much talent for North Melbourne at the moment, have had more rest and are primed to win this game. We just don’t think they’re ready to blow teams away, just yet. The Suns by 24 or under option is paying $2.75.

Gold Coast has played well in the last month but only has a drawn result to show out of their last five games, but the reality is they probably should have won a couple and in the coming years they will. North Melbourne has lost their last four games and many players are probably playing for their futures over the coming weeks.
