Brisbane v Richmond betting tips, prediction & odds; AFL Qualifying Final preview 2020

The Brisbane Lions are short-priced favourites to defeat Fremantle at the GABBA on Saturday afternoon. We have previewed the game and provided our free Brisbane v Fremantle tips below.

Lions coach Chris Fagan and his top four squad from last year have had more than two months to ponder their round-one capitulation at the hands of Hawthorn and will be hell-bent on not being ambushed again when they clash with the Dockers.

The Dockers will have found some positives in their competitive six-point loss to Essendon, but under new coach Justin Longmuir will be desperate to return from the COVID-19 delay with a victory.

While the Dockers will be sweating on the fitness of Cam McCarthy, who collapsed with a mystery ailment at training last week, they could be boosted by the inclusion of Jesse Hogan, who appears to have overcome a navicular fracture and mental health problems that have largely kept him out of the AFL for two seasons.

The Dockers will also be buoyed by the return of all or some of David Mundy, Blake Acres, Nathan Wilson and Stephen Hill, who have trained fully in recent weeks after missing round one.

Key Lions pair Stefan Martin and captain Dayne Zorko have been given the green light to play, with just defender Marcus Adams on the injury list.

Below we examine the Brisbane v Fremantle betting odds and present our free tips for the round 2 AFL clash.

Brisbane v Fremantle betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has examined the betting markets ahead of round 2 of the 2020 season. Here are our Brisbane v Fremantle betting tips:

James Aish to get over 20 touches

Former Collingwood utility James Aish never saw the midfield minutes he deserved at the Magpies, but this is likely to change at Fremantle, where the midfield is being rebuilt. Aish showed in limited minutes through the preseason he can knock touches up quickly and the $4.50 on offer at Unibet to get more than 20 is enticing.

Brisbane Lions to cover the -18.5 line

We think the Lions will be stung into action and will enjoy being back at fortress Gabba. The $1.90 on offer for the Lions to cover the -18.5 line is very much doable and we will be including this leg in our multis.

Brisbane v Fremantle prediction

The Lions look to have a bit more class and experience across key areas of the park, with the Dockers midfield very young, other than Nat Fyfe and David Mundy. Keep an eye on the teams but my final Brisbane v Fremantle prediction is the Lions by 31 points.
