Port Adelaide v Richmond betting tips, prediction & odds analysis; AFL Preliminary Final preview 2020

Welcome to our Port Adelaide v Richmond betting tips, prediction and odds analysis ahead of their AFL round 4 clash at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

Both of these teams are coming off disappointing losses, after taking all before them in the opening two rounds of the season. The Power were dismissed by 37 points by West Coast, while Richmond were uncharacteristically thrashed, beaten by 45 points by the Swans.

Despite this, Richmond ($5) still shade the Power ($6) to win the 2021 AFL Premiership, with both of these teams expected to be prominent in September.

AFL Thursday: Sydney v Essendon tips

The Power are priced at $1.60 to defeat the Tigers ($2.35), with the line set at 8.5 and likely to have some takers.

Port Adelaide has got very few injury concerns, with Tom Rockliff, who suffered a concussion in the SANFL set to miss 12 days under the AFL’s new concussion protocols. Keep an eye on the teams for any further news on the Power.

The Tigers also have very few injuries in comparison to other clubs, although they will be without  exceptional ballwinner Dion Prestia (hamstring) and Kamdyn McIntosh (concussion).

Port Adelaide v Richmond betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has cast their eye over the clash and found some value Port Adelaide v Richmond tips:

Tom Lynch to kick 3+ goals

Lynch is on his last chance with us after an exceptionally quiet start to the season. The former Gold Coast captain did have an injury interrupted start to the year and we think he needs to fire if the Tigers are to win.

Ollie Wines to get over 25 touches

A great leg for your multi bets is to include Ollie Wines to get over 25 possessions. This fixture looks tailor-made for the Power bull, who could be given the task of standing Dustin Martin at clearances and he is paying $2.20 to reach the possession count.

Port Adelaide to win 1-24 points

I cannot see the Power winning by too much, but I also can’t see the Tigers upsetting them. The Power’s midfield just looks to have a bit more depth.

Port Adelaide v Richmond prediction 9/4

Port Adelaide deserves favouritism for this clash, despite both teams coming off losses. The loss of Prestia is massive for the Tigers, especially with Shai Bolton down on form in the last few weeks. The Power’s midfield just looks better on paper, although that will mean little if their backline is battered by the Tigers forwards, like the Eagles did to them. Our final Port Adelaide v Richmond prediction? Power by 11 points.
