This Port Adelaide v West Coast match throws together the most in-form team in the AFL against arguably the most out-of-form team.

It is the first match of a double-header of sorts at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast, with the later match the Gold Coast Suns v Fremantle from 7.40pm.

West Coast hope to regain defensive anchor Jeremy McGovern for this clash after suspension and an ankle injury suffered at training, while small forward Liam Ryan is expected to be fit after suffering a corked calf late in the match against the Lions.
